Trip home

To get to my parents place I needed 5-6 hours by bus. The contrast between going there and going home was striking!

Rigging

In June last year I had rigging with Polina Bambi. Which suprisingly was quite a lot of fun. Here's a walkthrough of my frog rig. (model's not mine)

We ended up with a one-day-model-rig-animate-challenge and here is my contribution. Ugly as f*** but so much fun to make.

Short short Film Project

This is my short short film project from 2nd semester. It was a four week project with my six man group. I was production manager on the project.
I made the title scene with the pan down in 3d along with projected textures and coordinating it with animation which was suprisingly hard because we didn't yet quite understand how much planning you need before combining 2d and 3d successfully. Quite interesting to see the 2d/3d workflow and how to get the two elements to play together.
As credits suggest we very much was in over everything all of us as we had a really good teamwork.
Several backgrounds are made in 3d with 2d animation on top. Rest is painted in Photoshop.

oh yeah: and it's me on flute(s). hehe

Concept Development with Peter Chan

We've jsut finished an amazing week with Peter chan about breaking out of our comfort zone; coming up with ideas; creating story; let everything in the picture backup your story and how to live your life happily.

This is the moment I made during this week.

Layout

We got a storyboard from a Batman: the animated series episode and we had to do the layout of the background for the shot.

We got a scene from the Emperor New Groove and had to create the layout of the shot in 3D, using projection mapping.
