Concept Development with Peter Chan

We've jsut finished an amazing week with Peter chan about breaking out of our comfort zone; coming up with ideas; creating story; let everything in the picture backup your story and how to live your life happily.

This is the moment I made during this week.

Layout

We got a storyboard from a Batman: the animated series episode and we had to do the layout of the background for the shot.

We got a scene from the Emperor New Groove and had to create the layout of the shot in 3D, using projection mapping.

Concept Sketches

My character is a Muaythai boxer from Thailand in the 17th hundred-ish. She is born with cleft lip aand as she grow up she become very sturdy and not very feminine. She and her father are very poor. Her father decides that he will train her to become a thaiboxer, because he cannot believe any man would want to marry her. and this way she can earn money for her and their family. It is a hard for an ugly girl in a man dominated world, but she of course pushes through.

Trained out of the ordinary school she has a very distinguishable style that resembles an owl.
